ELICOS ACADEMIC MANAGER : DR. RUZBEH  BABAEE

Meet Ruzbeh, a distinguished figure in the ELICOS industry with over 15 years of expertise, renowned for his academic prowess and extensive educational background spanning across continents. Commencing as a diligent researcher and instructor, he swiftly ascended to the esteemed rank of senior lecturer of English at University Putra Malaysia, solidifying his expertise and reputation in academia. Armed with a prestigious PhD. in English, Ruzbeh’s scholarly pursuits propelled him to Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium, where he seamlessly balanced rigorous research with his role as an assistant professor, imparting invaluable knowledge in Business and Academic English, at University Maryland University College in Brussels.

Driven by an unwavering passion for both research and pedagogy, Ruzbeh embarked on an enriching journey at the University of Porto in Portugal, expanding his educational horizons. This trajectory brought him to the University of Southampton in the UK, where he dedicated his efforts to teaching English for Academic Purposes (EAP), thereby enriching the educational experiences of students.

Recognising the transformative power of education, Ruzbeh assumed leadership roles as director of studies and ESL consultant at prestigious institutions in England, where he played a pivotal role in elevating academic programs and fostering student success. Equipped with credentials in coaching, mentoring, management, and leadership, he is a driving force behind educational innovation.

Venturing to Australia in pursuit of his zeal for educational advancement, Ruzbeh has embarked on ELICOS mentoring and coaching endeavors across prominent cities like Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Adelaide.

Moreover, Ruzbeh’s scholarly contributions extend beyond the classroom, with numerous presentations at esteemed ESL international conferences and symposiums, including 16th University of Sydney TESOL Research Colloquium, The Belgian English Language Teachers Association (BELTA) and The International Conference of English Language Teaching, Malaysia. His prolific publication record comprises over 20 scholarly articles and books, further cementing his stature as a thought leader in education.

As the ELICOS Manager at Magill College Sydney, his aim is not just to teach students the English language but to give them the right amount of confidence to use the language in their everyday life as a medium of communication. His dedication is to enhance the learning experience of the students and help them reach their limitless potential as individuals.
